Life Finds a Way

If the sky above seems cloudy and you’re left out in the rain...
and you are searching for a rainbow but the colors bring you pain...
And you look for sunshine and all you see is night...
-and all around you are smiling... but all you can do is frown-

then look beyond the teardrops to the wonder of the land....
The beauty of a flower like velvet in your hand...
Imagine floating with a butterfly as it flutters on its way
or the whispers of the oceans breeze on a Summer's day....

Remember words of beauty told in your mother's embrace
and the gentleness of her touch as she softly kisses your face...
and think not what life owes you but, all you have to give
and then tomorrow you bestow your gift and begin to live.

So don’t disregard the river of life, just embrace its gentle flow.

Updated: turns out my father didn't write this. He stole it and told me it was a writing. I wonder what else he's stolen, but I checked all of his writings and can't find anything else. I keep up this page to immortalize him, and I am just immortalizing him as he obviously wants to be.
